Terrific Infographic Sarah and while I’m all in on most of these things, there are a couple of areas I’ve avoided out of shear ignorance and PPC is one of them. It’s one of those things on the list I’ve been meaning to learn more about and it just keeps getting shoved back to the bottom. I’m going to dust that sucker off and work on it over the holiday break. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Hi Sarah,

Awesome infographic. Thank you for sharing.

A couple of things such as Video marketing and Ad Swaps are some of the things I have not paid much attention to so far. But I am planning to get on board with them very soon.

Many marketers are doing this and reaping awesome rewards already. So, it absolutely makes sense for me to benefit from these ideas as well and I know I can do it. I just didn’t do it because of other projects.

But, thank you for this awesome reminder and have a wonderful weekend!

    Hi Sarah,

SEO is now in a foggy period. The old paradigm is still working but more and more difficult to implement. Especially after Google’s move. The new paradigm is not here, yet.
PPC is probably affected by the changes in the SEO world.

In my opinion the last three methods are the most interesting ones. Especially when you are a beginner and do not have enough resources for PPC.

Ad Swaps comes in a later stage when you have a list … to swap. I don’t know from experience but I think, this ad swap, if done correctly and not too often, can double your list or more. Powerful method.

The other two methods are an absolute must.

What do you think of giveaways?

This post can be a very good starting point for a discussion about the efficiency of different traffic generation methods.

    Have a wonderful day

    Hi Sarah,

Thanks for sharing the infographic. Of all those methods, video marketing is the one I’m going to be doing a lot more of. With YouTube being the second largest search engine in the world it makes sense to make good use of it and use it to your advantage.

One very effective traffic method that isn’t on the infographic that I think deserves noting is blog-commenting. That is by far my favourite and most effective means of traffic generation, giving me highly targeted, quality traffic. Over the last year the vast majority of my traffic has come through this method. Not only is it good traffic generation practice but, done the right way, it’s also an excellent way to network, build relationships and establish yourself.

    Many thanks for sharing :-)

    Kind regards,

    Hi Sarah,
These are great point for generating internet traffic, but in my experience the best traffic that generates leads is by far direct traffic,
all of these points presented here are great but we got to plan long term.
i don’t want to be depended on Google’s mood changing it’s terms and algorithms every 5 secs for ever, or Facebook terms and rules etc …
I want people to recognize and think of my business, for example if i sell printing services i don’t just want people to get on Google and find me between a long list, my end goal is to have people directly typing my link as they recognize my business as a valuable quality provider and leading business in it’s domain.
for that kind of traffic it’s all of the offline details that matters, business cards, mouth to mouth advertising, making new friends, offline networking, costumer service, b2b connections and advertising, free offline giveaways etc …
    Many thanks and Best wishes!
